Most of the central and state level Medical entrance exams for the admission in different Medical Colleges of India are held in the months of April / May / June for the academic year starting from July / August. Generally, the syllabus of the entrance test is designed on the course outline of class XI and XII NCERT syllabus. Basically, the motto of the test is to assess the basic knowledge and fundamentals of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. However in some specific tests like AIIMS, MU-OET (Manipal), CMC-Vellore, JIPMER, COMEDK and MGIMS questions are asked on Assertion & Reason type, General Knowledge, Current affairs, English Test, Mental Ability and Gandhian Thoughts. The results of these tests are published in the months of June / July / August.
